Hi quilty friends! Progress is being made on the Twinkler quilt. The quilting is fairly light with very little ruler work and a lot of free motion. The quilt police might frown upon skipping the stitch in the ditch technique, but if they think it looks better, they can issue me a citation and move along.

I did it! 100 more Bow Tie Blocks. They aren't all orange but there is no repeat fabrics. Woohoo!
Hi Quilty Friends! This past week I was busier than a bee in a honeysuckle patch. Flitting about from one quilting project to another. So, let's do a quick recap of a weeks worth of quilting, starting with a quilt finish. Mr. Podunk's hunting/camping quilt.
Yippee! All 42 Twinklers are finished! I'm itching to dive into quilting this one. I haven't quilted a quilt on the frame since the first week of July. Throughout my quilting journey, the actual quilting has always been my least favorite part. Yet here I am, strangely thrilled to get stitching, it's an odd but pleasant twist!
In my hurry to finish these blocks, a couple of minor mistakes were made.
I was hoping for this to be a quilt top by now. Slow progress is better than no progress. Maybe by next Monday the quilt top will be ready to quilt. The prints are cut for the remaining 20 blocks, but the background fabric is being cut as I go. I think today I'll finish cutting the fabric for the rest of the quilt. That seems to light a fire in my piecing process.
A few more Twinkler blocks were finished in yesterdays sewing in my jammies session. The morning session was cut short for a visit with family. We had a great time at our little pitch in dinner and catching up on the kids new adventures.
